amidst our joyous moments i am deeply torn
behind the walls that i have built up early on
to tear them down it cannot ever be my place
a path better uncharted that i must not trace
the one thing that we do not to even entertain
i know a hundred perfect reasons to refrain
beyond that close horizon lots of dangers loom
but can we really blank this huge thing in the room
in a fragile balance we would have to hold
this chance to live fantastic stories yet untold
the many things that each of us has seen and done
so far into my journey, yours has just begun
well aware of all the rules we'd have to bend
therein lies unspoken power in your hands
for maybe what we need now is a little twist
the right word at the right time and i won't resist
