amidst our joyous moments i am deeply torn
behind the walls that i have built up early on
to tear them down it cannot ever be my place
a path better uncharted that i must not trace

the one thing that we do not to even entertain
i know a hundred perfect reasons to refrain
beyond that close horizon lots of dangers loom
but can we really blank this huge thing in the room

in a fragile balance we would have to hold
this chance to live fantastic stories yet untold
the many things that each of us has seen and done
